The Foundational Experience consists of a comprehensive leadership development program called Disrupt & Transform that integrates three core elements: Executive coaching with a Personal Leadership Advisor, Disruptive Development Experiences, and Peer Consulting. All integrated and applied for significant real-world impact at work. Members are placed in a cohort of 16 leaders. In addition to the required activities, members are invited to highly curated Institute events that combine strategic networking with further learning, in exciting venues.

Personal Leadership advisor

Each member is paired with a Personal Leadership Advisor, with whom they establish a strong and close relationship.

The advisor serves as the member’s executive coach, facilitates the project coaching group, curates the member’s experience and introduces the member to the right people.

If appropriate, the Advisor can meet with the company’s Human Resources team, the member’s boss or Board, or pre-existing executive coach in order to coordinate efforts in the leader’s developmental journey.

Advisors possess a PhD and/or MBA, have 15-20 years experience coaching and advising C-Suite executives, and are master facilitators.

After their initial consultation with the Personal Leadership Advisor, the member attends Base Camp, a 3-day executive developmental program.

Base Camp

After their initial consultation with their Personal Leadership Advisor, the member attends Base Camp, a 3-day residency workshop that shakes leaders out of their typical day-to-day experience, exposing them to disruptive ideas, engaging them in deep thinking about their personal and business opportunities in these times of rapid change and disruption, and activating them to tackle those opportunities effectively. The program comprises pre-session assessments, a residential workshop, and deep peer network collaboration and support to take back to their business.

Members meet every other month for a facilitated peer consultation on both their current challenges at work, and on making progress on the business goal they set during Base Camp.

Peer Consulting Group

Members meet every other month for a facilitated peer consultation on both their current challenges at work, and on making progress on the business goal they set during Base Camp. The member’s Personal Leadership Advisor facilitates the meeting. The ongoing peer support increases accountability and sustains growth.

Members are encouraged to continue their peer consulting group participation after the first year.

Learning and networking experience is augmented by highly curated events and additional development programs offered throughout the year.

Salons

Salons are intimate gatherings of a highly curated group of members, ranging from 6 to 30 people, in inspiring venues, over breakfast or cocktails, with a thought-provoking speaker and discussion with fellow members.

Ideafests

Talks and panel discussions by leaders, experts, and trend-setters, on the most cutting edge topics related to leading in today’s volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous conditions

Development Programs

The Institute brings the world’s best educators, thought leaders, and instructors to both member only and public workshops. Member’s Personal Leadership Advisor curates their development program curriculum.
