THE TEAM
Chelsea Mitamura is a Principal at CLA where she heads up the firm’s Women’s Leadership Practice and focuses on evidence-based strategies for transformative organizational and individual change. With extensive experience partnering with Fortune 500 organizations, Chelsea specializes in leadership and team development, DEI, executive assessment and coaching, and talent management. Her client portfolio spans leading organizations such as Regeneron, Goldman Sachs, OneAmerica, Charles River Laboratories, Blackstone, and Keysight Technologies.
As a thought leader in her field, Chelsea has taught at the collegiate level and delivers workshops on critical topics including gender bias, intersectionality, and inclusive hiring practices. Her unique approach combines academic rigor with practical insights gained from working with diverse industries.
Chelsea’s credentials include a Ph.D. and M.S. in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, and a B.A. from Vassar College.

What is your favorite assessment and why?
I like the simplicity of the DISC. It gives people a shared language and opens the door to more honest, effective conversations.
Which of CLA’s service offerings do you most enjoy talking about?
I’m especially passionate about women’s leadership, inclusive leadership, and developing strong teams through DEI, talent management, and leadership development.
When you're not helping clients navigate complex leadership challenges, where might we find you?
Probably dancing in the living room with my two daughters, playing tennis, or enjoying good conversation with close friends.
