THE TEAM
Erik is a Principal at CLA, where he advises Fortune 500 organizations and PE-backed companies on leadership effectiveness, organizational performance, and talent strategy. He brings deep expertise in leadership assessment and development, from executive coaching to the design and delivery of large-scale programs. In 2021, his consulting work with Verizon earned the only Brandon Hall Gold Award for Executive Education. Erik leads CLA’s Career Architecture Practice, partnering with HR executives and business leaders to build standardized career frameworks that enhance role clarity, support development, and strengthen internal mobility. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center, where his research focused on accelerating trust and communication in virtual teams—work that remains highly relevant in today’s hybrid environments.

What is your favorite assessment and why?
I’m a big fan of the Leadership Versatility Index (LVI) 360. It captures the real-world complexity leaders face and helps them see not just which behaviors matter, but how to apply them with the right balance in the right relationships.
Which of CLA’s service offerings do you most enjoy talking about?
I’m most energized by conversations around organization design, leadership assessment, and leadership development, and where they intersect.
When you're not helping clients navigate complex leadership challenges, where might we find you?
I’m usually spending time with my wife and daughter, practicing yoga, or diving into a good book or podcast.
