Steve is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at CLA and author of The End of Leadership as We Know It. At CLA, Steve helps clients lead faster, higher-impact, and more adaptive organizations.

Before co-founding CLA, Steve served on the Senior Leadership Team in AlixPartners’ Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness practice and led Human Capital Consulting at Philosophy IB, which was later acquired by Heidrick & Struggles. At Philosophy IB, Steve developed SYNAPP, an HR platform that analyzed employees’ informal relationships and was accepted into DreamIt Venture’s Accelerator Program.

Steve holds an M.B.A. from The University of Virginia and an Ed.D. in Adult Learning from N.C. State University, where he researched how organizational networks impact learning, change, and innovation. Steve is certified in Executive and Team Coaching and serves on the Board of Youth INC, the Hawthorne Park Club and the Advisory Board of the Organization Design Forum (ODF).

When he’s not working, Steve likes to spend time with his family in Millburn, NJ, catch up on pop culture, and fall down mountains on his bike.
