Research from PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Association Resource Centre puts the average ROI at 700%. That return doesn&#8217;t come from coaching conversations alone. It comes from coaching that is built to create change that lasts and spreads beyond one leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Contemporary Leadership Advisors, we define executive coaching as a multi-month development process with a defined scope, timeline, and goals. Each stage gives a clear role to HR or the head of coaching, the supervisor, the leader, and the coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Initiation.<\/strong> The organization identifies a potential coaching need, confirms the leader&#8217;s eligibility, and scopes the assignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selection.<\/strong> Potential coaches are identified. The leader takes part in &#8220;coaching fit&#8221; interviews and selects their coach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Discovery.<\/strong> The coach assesses the leader&#8217;s strengths and development opportunities, and the leader and supervisor agree on coaching goals, which are then recorded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coaching.<\/strong> The leader takes part in regular one-to-one sessions and completes the agreed assignments and practice, while the supervisor shares feedback on progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Closure.<\/strong> A formal closeout meeting produces a post-coaching development plan, and coaching outcomes are assessed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the engagement, we use a standard set of proven tools: coaching diagnostics, a formal coaching agreement, and an industry-leading coaching platform. These tools improve the quality, efficiency, and alignment of coaching across the organization.
